Susy Martian really is a singer/songwriter from Las Vegas, Nevada.
She started her entertainment career at the age of five, when she sang her first song and refused to get off the stage. She knew from that day, all she wanted to do was take over the world!
In school, Susy studied classical piano, classical voice, theater, improvisational comedy, Shakespeare, ballet, modern dance, television production, literature, creative writing, classical poetry, and anything remotely related to the arts. She graduated from the University of Tampa with a Bachelors degree in music and dance. She also had the tremendous honor to study at Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge, UK, the same college as the smartest man in the world, Stephen Hawking. Susy’s song, SUPERCOOL, was inspired by his book The Theory of Everything.
Even though Susy’s first love was theater, she started singing in rock bands while in college. It was an easy transition going from a “character actress” to being a “character”. But it wasn’t until after having her first daughter that Susy wrote her first book and her first song, almost simultaneously. She has since written 5 books and 5 cd’s. Currently, Susy is working on a new punk rock EP, and a murder mystery trilogy.
In addition to writing and playing music, Susy has had a colorful acting career over the years. She has many credits in live theater, television and film. (see resume’)
Her latest musical project is just getting off the ground. It’s the debut of the all new SUSY MARTIAN band, due in tandem with her new EP.
